How to delete all bookmarks at once in Firefox, Chrome and Safari?

Browsers give you the option to store your favorite webpages as Bookmarks as easy reference to open those pages later. But over the time, bookmarks get loaded with unwanted and too many to manage. Those are the times, when you need to delete all, so that you can start afresh.

How to delete all/bulk/multiple bookmarks at once from Firefox?

  • Click ‘Bookmarks’ on the menu and click ‘Show All Bookmarks’ or just press the key combination CTRL + SHIFT + B
  • In the left pane, you can see ‘Bookmarks Toolbar’ and ‘Bookmarks Menu’
  • Click one from where you want to delete bookmarks.
  • In the right pane, select the bookmarks you want to delete(CTRL + click to select multiple and CTRL + A to select all) and press DELETE key.
  • It is done and you can’t get it back.

How to delete all/bulk/multiple bookmarks at once from Chrome?

  • Press the key combination CTRL + SHIFT + O to open ‘Bookmark Manager’
  • In the left, you can see ‘Bookmarks bar’ and ‘Other Bookmarks’
  • Click on the one from where you want to delete bookmarks.
  • In the right pane, select the bookmarks you want to delete(CTRL + click to select multiple and CTRL + A to select all) and press DELETE key.
  • Bookmarks will be deleted

Please note that this process is irreversible and the bookmarks deleted are gone for good.
