Reopen recently closed window on on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari

Reopen closed windows on Google Chrome:

  1. Press CTRL + T to open a new tab
  2. Click ‘Recently closed’ on the Bottom right corner next to the webstore link on the new tab
  3. The recent 10 closed tabs will be available. But if you have closed a window(with several tabs), then in the recently closed section the window with the number of tabs will be listed. Click that and you can reopen that window with all the tabs.

If the window doesn’t appear in the list, it has been closed earlier and going to browsing history is the only option. Only the tabs will be available in the Browsing history page.

Reopen closed windows on Firefox:

Press ‘CTRL + SHIFT + N’ to reopen the recently closed window on Firefox. Press the key combination as many times so to open as many recently closed windows. Last closed window opens first. Alternatively, if you want to open a particular window that was closed recently on Firefox:

  1. Press “ALT + S” or click ‘History’ on the menu
  2. Go to “Recently closed Windows’ and the recently closed windows will be listed. Click the one you want to reopen.

Reopen closed windows on Internet Explorer:

  1. Press CTRL + T to open a new tab
  2. Click Reopen last session. All the pages that you had open when Internet Explorer last closed will open in new tabs.

Reopen closed windows on Safari:

  1. Press ALT + I to open the History menu
  2. You will have options to ‘Reopen Last Closed Window’, ‘Reopen All windows from Last Session’ and more..
  3. Press ALT + I + R to reopen last closed window
  4. Press ALT + I + P to Reopen All windows from Last Session
